SEO Pricing Models
One of the most frequent questions clients ask is “How much will it cost to optimize for website for such and such keyword?”
As far as the clients are asked, that is a fair question. They need to have an idea of the SEO budget, so that they can decide whether the ROI justifies the expenses.
However, determining the price of the SEO efforts is a little tricky, and like most things in life, there are no hard and fast answers.
At OjaswiTech, we provide 3 basic pricing options.
1. One time SEO Charges
We recommend this model for clients whose keywords are not too competitive. As an example, one real estate client wanted to optimize his website for the key phrase ‘apartments in Wakad’, a suburb of Pune, India. As this key phrase is not very competitive, there was no need for the client to keep spending money on the site once it was optimized. We did the SEO work for him about 3 years back, and his site still ranks on the first page of Google.
2. Monthly model
For keywords that are fairly or highly competitive, there is a constant need to update content, add the site to various directories, and do other work related to optimization on a continuous basis. For such clients, we recommend the monthly model. One advantage of the monthly model is that some keyword tweaks are possible. Suppose the client wants to optimize their web site for ‘transistor modules’. Three months down the line, they also want to add ‘thyristor modules’, then it is possible to optimize add the keyword at only incremental cost.
3. Fixed Budget Model
Sometimes, a client comes to us with a fixed budget, and asks for an optimal SEO solution. For such clients, we use a blend of SEO and SEM techniques as best as we can.
Guarantees…?
No true SEO professional gives guarantees for the simple reason that search engines are third party software. However, it has been proved time and again that SEO works, and provides good ROI if implemented properly.
